As part of Hanover Friends Meeting's outreach, we have developed a relationship with Quakers in Cuba.

We invite you to learn about our work with an urban church in the capital city of Havana.

A sketch by Julian Grant of the street scene in front of the church gives you a flavor of the neighborhood.

We invite you to join us on a journey to learn about our work.
How we achieve our purpose...

Since 2012, we've arranged for visitors to travel back and forth so we can learn about the differing ways we worship, live, support one another, and put our faith into action.

La Habana Quakers come from all walks of life and live in different parts of the city.

We craft hand made gifts for one another.

The banner above that we decorated in 2026 and sent to our Sister Meeting in La Habana reads:
'We are instruments of peace in the hands of God'. In past years we have sent hand-decorated quilts that cheerfully hang on the walls of Iglesia Margaret Fell in the Marianao district of the capital city.
In 2024, a delegation also painted two wall murals while visiting.

We have several beautiful hand crafts made by the members of our Sister Meeting that remind us of the bonds of friendship.
